Mexican cuisine can be both delicious and spicy, but in this recipe I am going to teach you one of the sweet sides in the Mexican menu. Flan clearly fits the bill as a dessert and though its origins are not Mexican it has been adopted and made a favorite. It’s flavors and texture make it a unique dessert that you will not be able to resist.

Tres leches flan recipe
Baking temp: 300F degrees
Baking time: 50-60 minutes
Baking dish: Tall 9’’ round baking dish

👉🏼 BAIN MARIE: Add 1” of water or fill half way up the mold sides. *CORRECT*

For the custard
Evaporated milk 1 1/2 cups
Condensed milk 1 1/2 cups
Whole milk 1 1/2 cups
Eggs, YOLKS 3ea
Eggs, Whole 5ea
Vanilla extract 1 tsp

For the Caramel
Sugar 3/4 cups
Water 1/4 cup
Lime/lemon juice 1/4 tsp

Strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and mint leafs
